Each NCL, Inc. Chapter promotes social awareness by considering the local community’s needs and selecting appropriate non-profit organizations to serve. Each Chapter then supports its philanthropic service partners through different volunteer activities.
Through the mother-daughter relationship, National Charity League develops strong women leaders serving and impacting communities today and for generations to come.
Philanthropies supported by our Space City Chapter include:
Bay Area Turning Point
Camp for All
Epilepsy Foundation Texas
Forgotten Angels in Pearland
Friends of League City Animal Shelter
Friendswood Health Care Center
Galveston County Food Bank
Hope Village in Friendswood
Houston Symphony League Bay Area (a/k/a Bay Area Symphony)
Ronald McDonald House of Galveston
Special Olympics Texas – Area 22 Gulf Coast
Our members enjoy serving our communities in various ways, such as participating in arts & Crafts with mentally disabled and burn victims, wheelchair dances and bingo with the elderly, assisting with Special Olympics events, helping in preparing food for distribution through the Food Bank, helping at local area pet adoptions, and assisting with the activities that support programs for women and children experiencing domestic violence.
The Space City Chapter is impacting our community greatly. Our mothers and daughters have volunteered nearly 4,500 hours to our Philanthropy Partners since June 2013.
